Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed We vowed our true love though a word wasn't said The world was in bloom, there were stars in the skies Except for the few that were there in your eyes
Dear as I held you close in my arms Angels were singing a hymn to your charms Two hearts gently beating, murmuring low Darling, I love you so
The night seemed to fade into blossoming dawn The sun shone anew but the dance lingered on Could we but relive that sweet moment sublime We'd find that our love is unaltered by time

Tom and Polly Celebrate 46 Years of Marriage and 13 Special Years of Life!
|
We are celebrating two Anniversaries again this year. One is our 46rd Wedding Anniversary and
the other is 13 years after my Liver Transplant. The first one would not happen without the other.
We were married on May 24, 1963 at East Ave. Baptist Church. My bride was Polly Mitchell
of Ava, Mo. The Maid of Honor was Dixie Lane and my Best Man was Charles Stapp.
(also SHS class of 1953 our class).
We did not celebrate on May 24, 2006, as we picked up our Daughter Sheri & Rich Kennehan at
the Airport returning from a trip to see his family in New York State. We all came home for a
Cookout that night. Polly and I went out the next night to Logan Steak House to celebrate our
43rd anniversary a day late.
We have two daughters, Jean and Sheri. Jean Ann Cobban & husband Matt Cobban of Fair Grove
Missouri. Pictured on the right, they have two daughters, Jessica age nine, and Matelyn, six
years old.
Sheri & husband Richard Kennehan, pictured left are living in Springfield.
My life saving transplant took place on July 31, 1996 at 6:00pm. Thanks to a caring donor in
the Cape Girardeau area for sharing the gift of life.
