Evangel University
Crusader Hall
Evangel's new Crusader Hall opened in March 2000 and nearly doubles the seating capacity of the old dining facility. It
also features state-of-the-art food preparation facilities, two large conference rooms, and an executive dining room for
board meetings and small private events.
Kendrick Library
The library was the first permanent structure built on the Evangel campus. Completed in 1963, the building is named for
Dr. Klaude Kendrick, the first president of the college. Inside the library, the Carl I.

Erickson Reference Room is named after Carl I. Erickson, a reference librarian and sociology teacher who served at
Evangel until his death in 1968.
Ashcroft Gymnasium
The student gymnasium was named for J. Robert Ashcroft, the president of Evangel from 1958 to 1974.  The Ashcroft
Activities Center’s architectural peaks reach 43 feet, and the building is home to Crusader basketball and volleyball.
Construction was complete in 1967.
